Becoming a Christian is as simple as ABC.

 

"A" stands for Admit. You must admit to God that you are a sinner. You must be sorry for your sin and turn away from sinning, this is called repentance. Verses that support this step are Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 3:19; and 1 John 1:9.

"B" stands for Believe. You must believe that Jesus is God's Son and that God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for your sin, which He did so by being crucified on the Cross of Calvary. Verses about believing include John 3:16; John 14:6; and Romans 5:8.

 

"C" stands for Confess. You must confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Read Romans 10:9-10, 13.

After you admit to God that you are a sinner, repent and turn from that sin, and believe that Jesus is God's Son sent to die to pay for the sins of the world, you should now confess that faith in Jesus to God in prayer. Then you will be a Saved Forgiven Christian who will then know, live for, and profess Jesus as your Savior and Lord. The most important decision of your life!

The following is a sample prayer you can use as a guide for praying to God for your salvation:

​

Dear God, thank You for choosing to love me! I know I am a sinner. I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins. I believe He rose again and lives today. Today, I asked to be forgiven for my sins and I will turn away from my sinful past. I now profess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and will walk with Him always. Thank You for Your wonderful love and for changing my life forever. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
